We used daily rainfall data of 148 rain gauges collected from the hydrometeorological network managed by the National Water Agency during 1972 to 2002 and used quantiles technique in order to select rainfall events. Clearly, the most important of these is rainfall or, in some cases, other sources of precipitation such as fog, snow, or ice. Cold-deciduous woody plants, such as Gambel oak (Quercus gambelii), trembling aspen (Populus tremuloides), and maples and boxelder (Acer spp.), are common in the understory of coniferous forests.

Forest These ecosystems feature dense tree populations and include tropical rain forests. The initial wavelength is set by the ratio of the sediment flux and the erosion/deposition rate, a ratio which increases linearly with the wind velocity. It was established that, in the regime of stationary saltation, the wind profile in the lower saltation layer of the wind-sand flow depends only slightly on the wind profile variations in the upper saltation layer.
